Li Shiguang (b. 1979, China) lives and works in Shanghai. His paintings merge reality and imagination, employing a distinctive narrative visual language to explore human nature and cultural symbols. He has exhibited at the Long Museum of Contemporary Art and the Shanghai Art Fair, with works collected by Robin Li, the Bernardaud Collection, and other major international collections.

Li Shiguang’s Stage Series continues his signature theatrical visual language. Using the stage as a metaphor, he creates spaces where illusion and reality intertwine. Curtains, lighting, and figures construct solemn yet absurd scenes, reflecting on the human condition, social roles, and fate. With surreal characters, symbolic props, and touches of humor, the works combine allegory with dramatic tension.
